Marv is a long-time conservation activist. He has worked for the Greater Yellowstone Coalition since 1995 and is currently the Idaho Director in the Idaho Falls office. Prior to joining GYC in a staff position, Marv served for six years on the Coalition's board of directors. He has also served on the boards of several other conservation organizations including the Idaho Conservation League and Trout Unlimited.
Marv previously worked for Kiewit Mining and Engineering as a Special Projects Manager and worked for Morrison-Knudsen Company (Washington Group) as a Senior Environmental Engineer. Prior to his position with GYC, Marv worked as a Senior Environmental Planner for the Idaho Transportation Dept.
Marv and his wife Emily have two children. Their son Zac is a marine biologist in southeast Alaska. He is working on a three year research project on sea otters while pursuing his Ph.D. at the University of Alaska. Their daughter Jenn is a paleoecologist. She, her spouse, and their son live in Salt Lake City where Jenn is pursuing a doctorate in paleoecology at the University of Utah, while her spouse Miah attends Utah State University where is working on his Master of Fine Arts in photography.
Marv is an avid fly fisher and upland bird hunter. He and Emily spend much of their free time running rivers, exploring the desert backcountry areas of the southwest, or enjoying the wildlands of southeast Alaska.
Idaho Conservation and Legal Associate
Andrea grew up in a small town in Massachusetts but quickly fell in love with the west when she moved to Colorado in 2006.
After graduating from Roanoke College with a B.A. in both Spanish and Sociology, Andrea decided to turn her passion for wildlife and the environment into a career. She graduated from Vermont Law School in 2005 and soon after joined Earthjustice’s Rocky Mountain Office in Denver, where she litigated for protection of public lands and wildlife conservation.
Following her work with Earthjustice and a brief stint with an animal welfare organization in Los Angeles, Andrea moved to Idaho and joined GYC’s Idaho Falls office in April 2011.
Andrea enjoys hiking, backpacking, skiing, wildlife watching, travelling, scuba diving, cooking, and rooting for the New England Patriots. She currently lives in Victor, Idaho with her husband Dominic and their two cats.
